Premier Beta, Ingame Tournament Team System!!

Riot Games, developer of League of Legends and Valorant, will launch its premiere global team-based competitive system in its open beta on April 25. Laura Lato, lead producer at Riot Games, has explained details about the system and the three stages of the premier tournament in a transcript video uploaded to the internet.

The stages follow the tournament

This system will require players to take part in three stages of the tournament. The first stage is registration, players must verify SMS, complete rankings, and form a team of 5 to 7 players or join an existing team. Then, the teams listed will be placed in one of 20 divisions, depending on the average MMR of the top five players on the team. The second stage is to play periodically. Teams will play up to two matches each week and receive points based on their performance in those matches. If a team does not play, their premier score will determine whether they qualify for the playoff tournament. The third stage is a playoff tournament, where teams will compete to become champions and win exclusive prizes such as unique player cards and honorary titles. In a playoff tournament, a system of picks and tires will be used as in professional play, and teams will start in the main bracket. If the team loses, they are transferred to the trösten section, where they will compete for third place.

Valorant’s Expectations About This New System

This premier team competitive system will add a new dimension to the Valorant experience. This system requires players to play with a team, which encourages cooperation and effective strategy. In addition, successful teams can win exclusive prizes, which can be a powerful incentive for players to constantly improve their skills and compete.
