Joker from Florida claims to be the inspiration for character in GTA VI trailer, asks to be contacted by Rockstar

Have you seen the latest trailer for Grand Theft Auto VI? If so, maybe you will realize that there is one character that attracts attention. He is a green-haired, pale-faced man who resembles the Joker, Batman’s archenemy. However, it turns out that this character is not just an inspiration from comics or films, but from real life.

Who is Florida Joker or Lawrence Patrick Sullivan? He is a 29 year old man who has green hair and tattoos that make him resemble the Batman villain, Joker. He was arrested by police in Miami-Dade County in May 2017 for allegedly pointing a loaded firearm at the driver of a car.

Problems That Occur

A man from Florida, United States, claims that the characters in the latest Grand Theft Auto VI trailer were inspired by him. The man’s name is Lawrence Patrick Sullivan, or better known as the Florida Joker. The following is a statement from Sullivan:

“You know that character with the tattoo on his face, you know who that character was inspired by? Yes, that’s me. So look for me, Florida Joker. You know what I’m talking about. GTA, we need to talk.” Sullivian said in his viral Tiktok video.

“I’m not having hallucinations, like everyone says,” Sullivan said in his latest TikTok video yesterday. “I’m the Joker from GTA 6. You’re all crazy. That’s me. That’s me.

“We have to talk, GTA. We have to talk. Or no, you guys have to give me a million or two,” added Sullivan.

“Florida Joker will not accept it. You have stolen my face and my life.”

To date, there has been no word from Rockstar or Sullivan confirming that either party has contacted or reached an agreement.

Sullivan added that he would not hesitate to take legal action if the Rockstar team did not grant his request. He threatened to sue the Rockstar team for copyright infringement and defamation.

Meanwhile, the Rockstar Games team has not provided an official response regarding Sullivan’s claims. However, several sources such as Rob Freund said that the character was inspired by various popular figures, including the Joker from comics and films, but had nothing to do with Sullivan.

“No tattoos are the same, the hair is not the same, the face is not the same. It’s just another guy with a face tattoo. At least that’s what Rockstar will say, and I’m willing to bet on them winning.” said Rob Freund.

Florida Joker doesn’t appear to have taken any legal action against Rockstar Games yet, but its $1-2 million lawsuit suggests it could happen. It’s unlikely that Florida Joker will manage to win against Rockstar, but it will definitely be exciting to see how it develops. It will also be interesting to see if the Florida Joker character is in the final version or if it’s just something Rockstar created for the GTA 6 trailer. Unfortunately, with Grand Theft Auto 6 releasing in 2025, fans will have to be patient to know the answer for sure.

With GTA VI scheduled for release in 2025, questions surrounding Sullivan’s claims and whether he will take legal action remain a mystery. Whether the Florida Joker character will actually appear in the final version of the game or is just part of Rockstar Games’ marketing strategy, only time will tell. GTA fans and connoisseurs around the world are expected to patiently wait for the next development of this saga which is full of controversy.
